Mike's Company specializes in hand dug test pits.

We have a 2” and 4” diameter hand auger cup that can get to depths of approximately 30 feet. We use this to verify different kinds of soils and bedrocks. 

We can take samples at surface depths while digging the test pit.

With our 4" diameter hand auger, we can auger down to depths of 30 feet while taking down hole samples at different depths as we go. We have a jack to extract the sample from the hand auger boring. Our sampler is a six ring, two and a half inch cup.

When backfilling test pits and fault trenches, we use a 90 pound demolition hammer with a compacting plate to compact the material. After completion of the test pit, Mike's company makes sure everything is cleaned up and made presentable

We are able to do fault trenching up to 5 feet in depth.
